Pro and Cons of Morganite Rings

morganite-rose-gold-halo-engagement-ring-with-floral-basketIn this blog I will be writing about the pros and cons of morganite rings. I want to start off by saying how much I love morganite. 🙂

Pros of Morganite Rings

Beautiful Color

Morganite comes in many different colors. From pink morganite, peachy pink, orangey pink, brown pink, baby peach, baby pink and my favorite peach. I personally hand select the most beautiful peach morganite.

Value

Morganite is a semi-precious stone and therefore a very affordable option. You can get a big bang for your buck. I do see different quality morganite on the market, and I don’t understand why people are not buying the most expensive morganite on the market. It’s only slightly more expensive and when we are talking about a stone that is only a few hundred dollars, why not get the most beautiful color/clarity.  I only purchase the best. 🙂

Brilliance and Sparkle

I personally think one of the reasons why this stone is so popular is because it sparkles a lot.  For an additional fee, I can add additional facets to our morganite stones to even sparkle more.

These beautiful stones come in rounds, ovals, square cushions, rectangular cushions, emerald, heart and pear shapes.  I can always have my factory cut a shape or I can source any shape and/or size your heart desires.

Cons of Morganite Rings

Needs Cleaning

For some reason the stone seems to lose its sparkle faster than other colored stones.  This shouldn’t be a reason for you to get discouraged from buying a morganite ring.  You can easily clean the ring at home with a soft tooth brush and with one part Windex with ammonia and one part water.  We also offer lifetime cleaning, polishing and inspecting.

Safe Engagement Rings

Because the stone is 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs Hardness Scale it is very important to manufacture and design the engagement ring properly to protect the center stone.  One of the safest settings for a morganite is a halo setting.  The diamonds on the halo protects the center stone.

If you are looking for the perfect morganite ring let me help you hand select the perfect loose morganite.  I personally love to see morganite set in rose gold.  The rose gold in the engagement ring enhances the morganite natural color and beauty.
